Spike sniffed around outside the cutter's place. He hoped, just maybe, there might be some food nearby.
All of a sudden, the glass door flew open and wacked him on the head.
"Mrrrow!" He yowled in pain, his vision blurry.
THe woman, carring a tabby she-cat looked down at the stray. Sh ewas a lover of all cats, strays, ferals, show ring, breeding, or just normal house cats.
"Oh you poor thing!" She exclaimed and reached down to pet Spike.
Spike tried to turn and run, but he couldn't. Instead, he felt himself fall to the ground, and everything went black.

"Don't worry mrs. Halloway, this stary is going to be fine. He's just a little shaken up from the impact." Said a female, but Spike wan't sure who.
There was a bright light shining down on him, which obscured his vision.
"Oh that's good to hear." The woman who had found him, reached over and petted him. Spike resisted purring.
"Now, this isn't your cat. So you have two options. You can fix him, andadopt him as your pet, or you don't have to fix him. Option two, you can set him free back into the city. Fixing is optional, but I would suggest it.
Mrs. Calloway thoght for a momet.
Fix me? What the hecl are they talking about?
"I think I'll have him fixed, and I'll keep him, and in a few days I'll report that there was a missing cat to the Humane Society.
"Ok. Good choice Mrs. Calloway." The vet walked over to Spike, and he could see her now. Brown haired woman, green eyes. "hey fella," She msued as she reached for a long tube. "This won't hurt a bit ok?"
Wait, what are you doing with that?" Spike grew nervous, he knew what this operation was for!!
THe vet stuffed th tube in his mouth, and Spike jumped to his feet spitting and hissing, trying to get hte anethsetic out.
"NO way lady! I an't done yet!" He screamed when the anesthectid fell to the floor. The vet picked it up and lunged at him again. Spike dodged it, and ran to the doo. Luckily it was open. He turned around to Mrs. Calloway before sliding through the small opening. "Good bye, and don't ever help a stray like that!" He hissed, "US strays are perfectly fine."
Mrs.Calloway stared down at the cat, she couldn't hear him speak, but she inagained what he was saying. "...THat's a free cat..." Was all she could manage.
Spike slipped through the enrty doors and into the forests surronding the building. He shook his fur happily and breathed in the outdoor's sweet smell. He began walking deeper into the forest, the ansthetic making him somewaht tired.
"Devil, here I come." He mewed proudly, hid eyelids droopping.
